Vickie Pullin at Arctic Quest discovered her passion for sled dogs when she lived out in Canada at the age of 18. Since then she has worked for commercial teams in Canada and Alaska and now runs a husky ride business in the UK.
Vickie races internationally representing Team GB with her sprint sled dogs and holds 3 British Championship titles and 5 European Championship medals. As well as dry land racing Vickie also races on snow. Here in the UK you can train with Vickie to learn how to run and work with sled dogs and attend camps held throughout the year for both kids and adults.
No matter what breed of dog you own, if you want to learn how to run your dog in harness or just want to have a go, then this is a great place to start safely.
Vickie's training covers canicross, bikejor, scooter, rig and sled work.
Having great fun with your 4 legged friends is always a winner!
Canine Bowen Therapy & Canine First Response Courses
Maddy Freeman is qualified to treat people, dogs and horses with the Bowen Technique. She is also joint founder and tutor at the School of Canine Bowen Therapy which offers self interest and full practitioner training for human Bowen practitioners.
Maddy will be available at Mutt Hut Central, by appointment, to offer treatments for dogs (and handlers!)
She also runs canine first responder courses for pet dog owners and professionals. A fun, but informative and comprehensive one day course in emergency canine care.
Active Dog Equipment
Emily Thomas set up K9 Trail Time in 2012 after falling in love with dog sports and seeing how keeping her rescue dogs active also kept them happy. 5 years on and after helping thousands of new people get the right equipment to start canicross, bikejor and dog scootering safely, Emily prides herself on the range of dog sports harnesses available through K9 Trail Time. Emily will be holding 'pop up shop' events throughout 2017, will be involved in running workshops to teach the basics of canicross, bikejor and dog scootering and is also available by appointment for active dog equipment consultations.
